Our Commitment to Transparency

GTMHQ is committed to full transparency with our readers. This page explains how we earn money and how that may — or may not — influence the content we publish.

What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that tells a vendor you arrived from GTMHQ. If you click an affiliate link and then purchase a product or subscribe to a service, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or navigate directly to the vendor.

How We Earn Commissions

GTMHQ participates in affiliate programs with select B2B software vendors and tool providers. When we publish a review or comparison that includes an affiliate relationship, we earn a commission when a reader:

  • Clicks our affiliate link and completes a purchase or subscription
  • Signs up for a paid plan within the attribution window set by the vendor (typically 30–90 days)

Commissions vary by vendor and plan. We do not control or know the exact commission rate for every program we participate in.

How Affiliate Relationships Affect Our Reviews

Our editorial process is independent. We do not accept payment to write positive reviews, and we do not alter scores, recommendations, or verdicts based on whether an affiliate relationship exists.

Specifically:

  • We review tools we actually use or have tested. We do not publish reviews based solely on vendor-supplied information.
  • Affiliate status does not determine coverage. Many tools we cover extensively have no affiliate program. Many tools we cover critically do have affiliate programs.
  • We disclose clearly. Any page or post that contains affiliate links includes a disclosure notice at the top of the content.
  • We do not inflate ratings. A tool we have an affiliate relationship with will receive the same honest pros/cons analysis as any other tool.

How to Identify Affiliate Content

Posts that contain affiliate links display this notice at the top of the page:

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. GTMHQ may earn a commission if you purchase through our links, at no extra cost to you.

Posts that do NOT have an affiliate relationship display:

Disclosure: GTMHQ has no affiliate relationship with any tool reviewed on this page. All evaluations are independent.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255). We also comply with applicable disclosure requirements in the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia where relevant.

Sponsored Content

Occasionally, GTMHQ may publish sponsored posts or branded content paid for by a vendor. All sponsored content is clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “Partner Content” at the top of the article. Sponsored content does not represent GTMHQ’s editorial opinion unless explicitly stated.

No Pay-to-Play Reviews

Vendors cannot pay to be included in our “Best of” lists, comparison tables, or tool reviews. Placement in any GTMHQ roundup is based solely on our independent evaluation criteria including features, pricing transparency, user experience, and fit for GTM practitioners.

Questions?

If you have questions about a specific affiliate relationship or want to know whether a post is sponsored, please contact us. We are happy to clarify.
